Resident Evil 2’s Steam sales

About Resident Evil 2’s Steam sales

The zombie-splatteringĀ title, which completely revamps the original 1998 PlayStation classic, has now shifted one million copies (or to be more accurate, has one million owners; cheers, PCGamesN) on Valve’s platform. By comparison, Resident Evil 7 has yet to eclipse the one million milestone. It’s an impressive feat, especially considering Resi 7 has been out for just over two years now and Resi 2 only launchedĀ in January.

apcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 has chalked up another milestone, this time surpassing Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’s sales on Steam.

In related news, Capcom is rumoured to be working on a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Resident Evil 5 and 6 have both managed to top the one million sales barrier for Steam, although they have been out for a while now. Resi 5 is also the best-selling game in the series to date, too.

As for Resi 2 remake, it’s bloody brilliant. I played friv the original to death back when it came out, and there’s more than enough fresh content in there to appeal to veteran fans. It’s also very much a survival horror game, so don’t expect to be mowing down enemies and suplexing them like Resi 4.
